野雀之詩

Available: Aug. 28 - Sept. 12, All USA

Gritty, erotic, poetic, this is the tale of Li, a beautiful broken girl, suddenly tasked to raise her estranged son, Han. The boy, forced to leave the countryside to live in the city with her, lends his lonely, introverted perspective to the narrative: his mother ekes out a living as a bar hostess and drifts on by, going from man to man. Both Li, plagued by demons within and dire finances, and Han, plucked from his rural home, contend with turbulence at every turn. Shih Li’s slow-burn feature debut follows their path as they try to find an elusive happiness and peace of mind.
