Proud country boy Ngawang comes to the city convinced that he can win the indigenous song contest. There he meets a bewitching woman, whom he believes to be the Tibetan goddess of knowledge, art, and music. She proves herself a muse regardless, inspiring him to record an album and make a name for himself. Multiple misadventures and a wacky road trip ensue, as Ngawang meets colorful characters and hears a diversity of eye-opening musical performances.
