Bad Education

黑的教育

After graduating from high school, four buddies get drunk on a roof and exchange stories of the worst things they’ve ever done. An omnibus of shocking, morally bankrupt hooliganism ensues. However, a la the Rashomon effect, their veracity is negligible. When the one friend with a moral compass has no tale to tell, they offer him a real-time opportunity for life-affirming chaos. His surprising actions send them on a darkly humorous fight for their lives. Taiwanese movie star Kai Ko’s impressive envelope-pushing directorial debut proves he was paying attention on set all these years. Taking over from his mentor Giddens Ko (Kai Ko-starrer You Are the Apple of My Eye, NYAFF 2012), Kai delivers a kinetic (and often laugh-out-loud-against-our-better-judgment) delineation of good and evil with turbulent high stakes.
